I think I’m gonna like having a blog…

In exactly one week, I leave my family home and head to the Monastery until January. The most direct route by car would be 2,923 miles... by midnight trains and busses, I'm not sure how much it is, but it should give me lots of time to wonder if I'm bringing the right stuff. I'm super excited about this whole experience (plus a healthy bit of nervousness). I'm going to do my best to make this website fun for you while I'm away and update you this way when it makes sense to.

To beautify the page a little bit, here are some photos from this morning's hike in the Berkshires. It's stunningly beautiful this time of year and I'm super grateful to have grown up here. This morning I even managed to catch a falling leaf JUST by holding out my hand while walking this trail. I've been trying to catch one this way for weeks and agreed that when I finally caught one, I'd be ready to leave. Guess it's time to get going 😄🙃🍁
